Police, ambulance and fire and rescue teams have all been called to the incident, which took place on Park Street, at around 11.30am.
Nine firefighters were called to the incident from Aberdeen Central after a member of the public reported the incident to them.
A fire and rescue spokesman said: “It was a two vehicle road traffic collision, we got the call at 11.35am. We send two appliances from Aberdeen Central with nine firefighters.”
It had been initially thought two people had been injured but a police spokeswoman has confirmed one man has been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with injuries described as “non life-threatening”.
The road has been closed at the street’s junction with Summerhill Terrace.
Diversions are in place at Jasmine Terrace and Constitution Street.
