A Huntly man has admitted a string of assaults on women, including one who was pregnant.
Richard Dawson appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday, and admitted three charges dating back almost 30 years.
The 48-year-old repeatedly punched and hit Susan Nicol on the head and body on various occasions between January 1, 1988, and December 31, 1997 – including while she was pregnant.
He also grabbed her by the throat during the attacks at his home address at 15 Clashmach Terrace, Huntly.
Dawson also admitted assaulting Kathleen Petrie at an address on the town’s Depot Road on various occasions between September 1, 2003, and June 30, 2005.
In one incident, he hit her on the head with a glass ashtray, or a similar object, and knocked her unconscious. He also repeatedly slapped and punched her on the head.
Dawson further pleaded guilty to assaulting Louise Dawson by punching her on April 1, 2013, at his home address.
Defence agent Mike Munro said there had been a “great deal of anxiety” for the matter to be resolved.
Sheriff Graeme Napier deferred sentence for the preparation of background reports.
