A 40-year-old man has been airlifted to hospital after falling off a 30-foot-high cliff near Montrose.
Coast guard teams from Stonehaven, Montrose, Carnoustie and Arbroath, as well as police and ambulance squads, were called to Boddin Point just south of Montrose after a man was reported to have fallen down one of the seaside cliffs at 7.30pm.
Once the emergency services had arrived an RAF Sea King rescue helicopter was dispatched, and he arrived at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee just after 9.30pm.
The man is believed to have suffered a serious injury to his leg.
