Aberdeen Performing Arts is giving 300 The Pantomime Adventures of Peter Pan tickets to north-east charities.

Aiming to share the festive spirit, local charities have been invited to apply for free tickets to the Christmas pantomime, which runs at His Majesty’s from Saturday December 3 to Sunday January 8.

Charities can apply for tickets to the 7pm performance on Tuesday December 6. The deadline for applications is Friday November 11.

The show is being staged by the same team that has produced the His Majesty’s Theatre
panto for the last 18 years, with the usual abundance of comedy, lavish sets, fabulous
costumes, and of course a few surprises in store.

Local charities have been invited to apply for free tickets to the Christmas pantomime.

Dame Alan McHugh, who also writes and directs the festive show, previously told the P&J: “It’s not a chore, it’s not a job – it’s a delight and privilege to come back every year. It’s a riot for all the right reasons.

“I’ve done panto in many places but Aberdeen is the best audience in the country as far as I’m concerned – and the best team.”

Former Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer and Dancing on Ice finalist Brendan Cole will star as Captain Hook in the spectacular production, with comic actor and River City star Paul J Corrigan playing Smee.

Aberdeen star Danielle Jam, who’s currently delighting north-east audiences as Ellen in James IV – Queen of the Fight, will be back for her second HMT panto.

After stealing the show as Belle in The Beauty And The Beast, Danielle will play Tinkerbell in the 2022 high-flying adventure.

Former Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Brendan Cole will star in this year’s HMT panto.

Returning to the HMT panto after more than a decade will be Aberdeen actor Michael Karl-Lewis.

“When I was 12 I actually played little Michael Darling in Peter Pan – which was 12 years ago,” said Michael.

“It feels like a full circle to be Peter Pan this year – it’s mad and I can’t wait.

“Playing Peter Pan is such a dream – everybody loves the story.”

Charities need to fill in a form to apply for free tickets. The form can be completed here or can also be collected from the box office at His Majesty’s Theatre or the Music Hall.

Successful groups will be told by Friday November 18.
