The Scottish Government has declared a protection and surveillance zone around an Aberdeenshire farm after avian flu was detected.
Scotlands Chief Veterinary Officer said a “highly pathogenic” flu exists or has existed in the past 56 days.
Logie Farm, near Huntly has been declared as an infected premises.
A 1.8mile protection zone and a 6.2mile surveillance zone are now in place.
Restrictions in place
This means special controls are in place around the area. They include controlling the movement of people, poultry, carcasses, eggs, litter and manure.
