The A90 Aberdeen to Fraserburgh road was closed for nearly two hours on Wednesday evening following a crash near Newburgh.
Police were alerted to an incident between the Newburgh junction and the Ellon roundabout at around 8pm.
It is currently unknown how many vehicles were involved in the crash and whether anybody has been hurt.

The road was closed until about 9.30pm with drivers advised to avoid the area and take alternative routes.
A police spokesman said at the time: “Police are advising motorists that the A90 is currently closed between Ellon roundabout and the Newburgh junction whilst emergency services deal with a road traffic collision.
“Motorists are advised to avoid this area and take alternate routes where available.”
