Police called to sudden death of man in Tillydrone

A 44-year-old man has been found dead in the Tillydrone area of Aberdeen.
Police were called to an address on Hayton Road following concern for a man at about 11.50am today.
However, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two police cars and two ambulances were called to the scene.
A police spokesman said: “Officers attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The death is currently being treated as unexplained and inquiries are ongoing.”
Neighbour hears sirens and police
One neighbour said he had seen a woman arriving at the property earlier in the morning, and that she had called police for a welfare check.
“They went through the door,” he said.
“Then the ambulance came with the sirens on.”
He said it quickly became clear the man had died.
A local shopkeeper also heard sirens at around noon.
Police officers and detectives remained outside the property while an investigation was conducted throughout the afternoon.
Council staff also attended to secure the flat.
