Two people have appeared in court in connection following a drugs raid in Peterhead.
Cocaine and diamorphine, worth an estimated £5000, were seized from a property in on Wednesday.
Stephanie Jones and Stuart Mitchell appeared in private at the town’s sheriff court in connection with the find.
The pair, both of Peterhead, each face two charges of being concerned in the supply of drugs.
They made no plea or declaration during Thursday’s brief hearing and the case was continued for further examination.
Jones, 37, was released on bail while Mitchell, 39, was remanded in custody.
Police in Merseyside carried out a raid at the same time, and charged a 27-year-old man.
The operation was part of a County Lines operation, tackling drug dealers who move their trade across borders – often bullying vulnerable members of communities to do so.
DS Steven Young, of North East Division CID, said “I would like to thank our colleagues at Merseyside Police with their assistance in this investigation.
“We remain committed to disrupting those involved in operating and benefiting from the supply of illegal drugs in the north-east of Scotland.
“We rely on information from the public. If anyone has any concerns regarding the abuse of controlled drugs or those who may be involved in the supply of controlled drugs, contact Police Scotland on 101.
