A Romanian virtuoso violinist, who is a regular fixture on the streets of Aberdeen, has become an online smash in his homeland.
Remus Stana, who specialises in hip hop and dance covers, has garnered more than 100,000 hits on his YouTube channel.
The 23-year-old, who taught himself how to play the electric fiddle, is a frequent performer outside the city’s Bon Accord Centre.
Among some of the more popular covers he has made his own are Pink’s Just Give Me a Reason and hits by French R&B star Indila.
Romanian national news channel, ProTV, have picked up on his story and have shared his videos across the country.
Mr Stana – who works as a chef and has also played at a number of the city’s nightclubs – said: “A friend of mine in Aberdeen told me I should put my music online and at first I said no, no-one would want to listen to that.
“She kept talking about it and eventually I said OK. I didn’t expect this to happen and for it to become so popular.
“I had never performed in public before. I had the idea of playing on the streets of Aberdeen and one day decided to give it a try. Now most people in Aberdeen know me.”
