The mobile breast screening unit will roll into an Aberdeenshire village later this month.
Women aged 50-70 registered with a GP at Aden Health Centre in Mintlaw will receive an invitation to attend.
Letters are sent out about four weeks before the appointment date.
The mobile unit will be stationed at Aden Health Cenre, Newlands Road, Mintlaw, from November 21.
Sarah Phillip, manager for the North East Scotland Mobile Breast Screening Service, said: “The aim of the programme is to detect breast changes at an early stage when treatment has the best chance of being successful.
“We hope that women invited for the first time will take advantage of their invitation for mammography and for women who have been screened previously, it is important that there have bee no changes over the past three years.
“Women who missed or failed to attend their previous invitation are encouraged to come along for screening this time.”
Self-referrals for women aged 71-74 was put on hold during the pandemic, but this is gradually being lifted. This is also the case for over 75s who have previously had breast cancer and have been discharged from yearly follow-up mammograms.
