Emergency services were to the Beach Boulevard roundabout after a car took out a lamppost and drove into the bushes.
The vehicle is believed to have been driving down the A956 East North Street when it collided with the street light in the middle of the road at around 6.40pm on Monday.
Vehicles and pedestrians were diverted from the scene as live electricity cables were seen strewn across the street.
The lamppost can be seen to have been completely torn from the ground and hurled few feet away into the roundabout.
The car was recovered at around 9pm, however, there is currently no information whether anybody involved in the crash has been injured.
A police spokesman said: “Police are in attendance following a one-car crash on East North Street in Aberdeen which was reported at around 6.50pm on Monday, November 7, 2022. Inquiries are ongoing.”
One fire appliance and a team from the council’s road department were deployed to assist police with the incident and make the area safe.
The roundabout was partially closed to vehicles with no access to the Beach Boulevard from Commerce Street as crews dealt with the incident.
A fire spokesman added: “We received a call to assist police with an incident on Aberdeen Beach Boulevard at around 6.50pm.
“One car had collided with a street light and some cables were left exposed on the street.
“We sent one fire appliance to the scene and requested help from the council’s road department.
“We arrived at around 6.54pm at the scene and left at 7.20pm.”
