Police will once again begin scouring the north-east coast as the search for a missing Mearns mother-of-two continues.
The search for Shona Johnston, 35, in the area north and south of Dunnottar Castle will get underway once again this morning.
A police spokeswoman said: “The land and sea search is continuing today and this will be reviewed later today.”
An Aberdeen Coastguard spokeswoman said they would be assisting with the search.
Mrs Johnston’s family grew concerned for her after she failed to return to her family home near Drumlithie on Tuesday at 4pm – and alerted the emergency services.
She is about 5ft 6ins and slim with short brown hair – was wearing a green fleece, jeans and ankle boots when she was last seen.
