Comedian Jason Manford will return to Aberdeen this weekend.
From what the stand-up hour is about to where you could have spotted Jason before, here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming comedy gig.
When and where can I see Jason Manford in Aberdeen?
Comedian Jason Manford will bring his latest stand-up tour Like Me to P&J Live on Saturday November 19. Doors open at 6pm. The show is set to start at 7.30pm, with Jason taking to the stage at 8.45pm. The gig is meant to finish around 10.10pm.
Is it going to be the same show as earlier this year?
No, it’ll be different than his Music Hall gig earlier this year.
The comedian told the P&J: “It’s a decent amount different, you add things, things change, naturally.
“So unless someone has an incredible memory – even I can’t remember what I was talking about in February – if you enjoyed yourself then, you can easily come again now.
“If anything, the show has evolved and it’s a different entity.”
So what is the show about?
Jason said he would look back at the “madness we have been through”.
“Like a lot of people during Covid, suddenly my job was gone, I was at home with six children and my wife and it was something that was so alien to me, so alien to so many people.
“I talk about some stories about my mum’s mad friend, Janet, we talk about school assemblies and we finish the show in quite a spectacular fashion that people have been very much enjoying. So it’s a fun night.”
What is Jason Manford best known for?
In addition to being a stand-up comic, Jason also hosts the BBC daytime quiz show Unbeatable, plus Starstruck, the show which sees music superfans transform into iconic artists. He was the team captain on the Channel 4 panel show 8 Out of 10 Cats from 2007 until 2010.
He’s also a gifted theatre actor. He appeared in West End shows such as The Producers, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Guys And Dolls.
