Network Rail Scotland has shared images showing the full scale of flooding on the track between Aberdeen and Inverness.
The River Don burst its banks yesterday as torrential rain battered the region, damaging homes and businesses and closing off roads and train services.
Services between Aberdeen and Inverness have now resumed, although passengers have been advised there may still be some delays due to speed restrictions on the line.
ScotRail has advised there are also still some cancellations between Inverurie, Aberdeen and Montrose.
Network Rail Scotland’s air operations helicopter took some aerial shots of the scale of the flooding, which they have now shared online.
