A woman has been charged after a Land Rover fell onto rocks and landed on its roof in Gardenstown.
The incident happened in the coastal Aberdeenshire village at around 11.45pm yesterday, with the car falling onto rocks on the beach.
A damaged Dacia was also seen parked on the roadway nearby.
Lifeboats from Fraserburgh and Macduff were sent to the scene, as were coastguard teams from the two towns. Personnel were stood down at 12.30am.
A police spokesman said: “Around 11.55pm on Tuesday, November 22, police were called to the Seatown area of Gardenstown, following a report of a one-vehicle crash.
“A 49-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with a road traffic offence and will be reported to the procurator fiscal.”
