Man, 42, taken to hospital with ‘serious injuries’ after crash on Aberdeen’s King Street

A 42-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a car near Aberdeen University.
The man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in a serious, but non life-threatening condition following the crash on King Street, near the St Machar roundabout, on Wednesday.
Police and ambulance crews were called to King Street, near the university’s MacRobert Building at about 8.15pm.
The road was blocked for about an hour.

Police inquiries ongoing
A police spokeswoman said: “Officers were called to a report of a crash involving a pedestrian and a car on King Street, Aberdeen at around 8.15pm on Wednesday, November 23.
“The 42-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious, but not life threatening injuries.
“The road was closed for around an hour and further inquiries remain ongoing.”
