Ellon is in the festive spirit as the town switched on its Christmas lights today.
A large crowed watched the event, which returned after being cancelled for the past two years due to Covid-19.
The event had a number of stalls from local community groups and ones selling food, while other types of entertainment, including live music was also on offer.
Santa was in the town’s Neil Ross Square, as well as his letter box, while a number of other events took place, including stories being read by local story teller Pauline Cordiner and fair rides.
Getting under way at 4.30pm, the parade stopped at the Chestnuts, where the official switch on was done by the Princesses from Ellon Primary School.
The parade then continued through the town before it ended up at Riverside Car Park, where fireworks closed the night.
