Motorists are being advised to expect disruption to their journeys while work is carried out on two north-east bridges this month.
Temporary traffic lights will be in place at the Banff Bridge on the A98 Fraserburgh to Fochabers road tomorrow between 9.30am and 3pm. This is to allow for routine inspection and engineering works.
Bridge of Marnoch on the A97 Huntly to Banff road will be closed from Friday, March 13 for one day to allow for routine inspection and engineering works.
An alternative route will be available via the A97 to Glendronach, B9024 at Glendronach to Turriff, B9025 to Aberchirder, and A97 to Bridge of Marnoch.
The work on both bridges is part of annual inspections and involves the use of specialist equipment under the bridges.
The local authority has apologised for any inconvenience caused during the works.
