Celebrity auctioneer Natasha Raskin Sharp will host an auction in need of cancer support charity Maggie’s Aberdeen.
Mrs Sharp is best known for her televised auctioneering on Bargain Hunt and Celebrity Antiques Road Trip.
She will bring her long-term experience to the table on Sunday as part of Maggie Aberdeen’s annual festive art auction.
The money raised will go towards local people living with cancer and their loved ones as many are worried about increased energy bills this winter alongside health issues.
‘Raise money for those who need it most’
Richard Stewart, Maggie’s Aberdeen’s fundraising manager, said: “We are proud to once again be running our popular art event to help raise money for those who need it most this winter.
“We are delighted to have Natasha bring her expert knowledge to the event, and I am sure everyone in attendance will appreciate the experience she will bring.
“The cost of living crisis continues to negatively impact visitors to our centre, and we are seeing more people express their concerns about how the increasing costs will impact their treatment journey.
“We rely on our extraordinary supporters to help make events like this a success. We appreciate this is a challenging time for so many, so we’re grateful to have a strong community supporting us.
“We have already had a lot of interest in the online auction and look forward to seeing supporters old and new at the exhibition on Sunday.”
Feeling the impact of the cost of living crisis
Last month, Highland mum Melanie Finlay, 48, expressed fears she’ll go cold this winter amid the cost of living crisis as she battles terminal bone cancer.
She stressed as soon as her bones become cold, they turn “very painful” and she’s “stockpiling winter blankets and hot water bottles” in preparation for winter.
An online catalogue for the online auction can be viewed now on Exhibit Auctions.
The event itself will open at 12pm on Sunday before the live auction kicks off at 2pm at Marischal Square.
