Members of a north-east dance school have had their talents recognised at a competition in Aberdeen.
Performers from Sharon Gill School of Dance took home 27 trophies from all categories showcased during the East of Scotland Dance Championships at the Beach Ballroom.
They spent nearly six months polishing their routines, which were composed in jazz, hip hop, pom and open styles and judged by industry professionals.
School director Sharon Gill said she was absolutely delighted with the hard work of the girls and boys who took part in the all-day event.
The 44-year-old added: “We had done well in previous contests but this one just topped the lot.
“We just kept getting named for one prize after the other, it was such a great day.”
The majority of the choreography was arranged by Ms Gill, who graduated from London College of Dance in 1990, with the help of her assistant coach and two junior coaches.
She said: “When we came back after the summer holidays we started getting ideas for music.
“We put everything together just before Christmas and in the new year everything that needed finished was finished and everything that was already finished was polished.”
The school is now gearing up to celebrate its 25th anniversary with a special show at the Beach Ballroom from June 25-27.
But before then, it has another round of competition to get through, this time in Inverness.
“We have the North of Scotland Championships in May so we are already back at class practising”, said Ms Gill.
“The other teams will work hard to beat us so if they are raising the bar we need to raise the bar too.”
