A north-east schoolboy’s letter, in which he refuses to apologise for misbehaving in class, has become an online sensation.
The letter, from an Oldmachar Academy pupil, was written after the 13-year-old was given into trouble for talking during a German lesson.
Instead of apologising, the boy – who has not been named – claims he is “not sorry”.
The teenager argues he was only speaking to his friend for a “few seconds”.
The note, which has been scribbled on a wrinkled piece of jotter paper, sets out the young lad’s case – and adds “I do not like German”.
He finishes off his letter with “I have nothing else to say for myself so I’ll just tell you I had chips for lunch”.
The boy’s older brother obviously saw the funny side and uploaded a picture of the letter to Twitter, with the caption: “My brother had to write an apology to Mrs *****. Look what he’s put down.”
Thousands of people have now shared the picture online.
The full note reads: “I turned around and talked to ****** for a few seconds. I was not talking constantly. Also, everyone else was talking too and I got this work for speaking to ****** for a second.
“I turned around and talked to ****** for a few seconds. I was not talking constantly. Also, everyone else was talking too and I got this work for speaking to ****** for a second.
“I don’t think it’s fair and I’m not sorry.. I already done the work. I do not enjoy German.
“I need to write to that line down there but I have nothing else to say for myself so I’ll just tell you I had chips for lunch yesterday.’
