Cigarettes and alcohol have been stolen from a village shop in Aberdeenshire.
Thieves made off with the haul after raiding the Co-Operative store on Main Street, Blackburn at about 4.30am today.
A silver car was seen at the shop, and fled along the B979 Hatton of Fintray road.
The shop was not open at the time.
Sergeant Colin Houston said: “Inquiries are at an early stage but we are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or unusual around the Main Street area of Blackburn in the early hours of today to come forward.
“We would also ask that anyone contact us if they saw a silver four-door saloon car leaving the area.”
Anyone with information should call 101.
