Red Hot Chilli Pipers – one of the best-known bagpipe bands in the world – will bring their 20th anniversary tour to Aberdeen this week.

Red Hot Chilli Pipers, also playing at sold-out Elgin Town Hall tonight (December 28), will rock Aberdeen’s Music Hall on Thursday December 29. The gig is set to start at 7.30pm.
What are Red Hot Chilli Pipers best known for?
The Celtic rock band became a phenomenon after winning the UK talent show When Will I Be Famous in 2007. They were voted Scotland’s Live Act of the Year in 2007 and 2010 at the Scots Trad Music Awards and played everywhere from Melbourne to Milwaukee.
The band’s lineup features three highland bagpipers and traditional marching snare, backed by a five to seven-piece band.
Which songs will they perform?
Red Hot Chilli Pipers will play songs from their nine albums, including their hits Don’t Stop Believing and Everybody Dance Now.
Their 2007 album Bagrock to the Masses went platinum in Scotland and silver in the rest of the UK. Their fourth release – Music for the Kilted Generation – is the band’s most successful international record to date – it reached number two on the US Amazon Chart, behind Adele’s record-breaking album 21.
How do I get to the Music Hall and where can I park?
Aberdeen’s Music Hall is located on Union Street, within a few minutes’ walk from the bus and train stations. If you are travelling by car, there is nearby parking on Golden Square, and the Chapel Street multi-storey car park.
