Almost £10,000 worth of items stolen from Aberdeenshire home

Almost £10,000 worth of jewellery and electrical items have been stolen from a house in Aberdeenshire.
Thieves broke into the property at Blairton, Balmedie, last Friday and grabbed electrical items and trinkets valued at just under £10,000.
Police believe the theft took place between 8am and 2pm and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
A police spokeswoman said: “We are appealing for information following a theft by housebreaking which occurred at a property in Blairton, Balmedie, Aberdeenshire.
“A quantity of electrical items and jewellery was stolen from the property, with a total value estimated at a high four-figure sum.”
The owner of the property did not want to comment on the break-in yesterday.
