Thieves stole a set of alloy wheels worth almost £3,000 from a car parked outside an Aberdeenshire oilfield equipment firm.
The rims were removed from an Audi S3 parked outside Helix Tubulars’ premises at the Cairnrobin Pipe Yard in Portlethen.
Police said the wheels were worth between £2,000-£3,000 and are now appealing for information.
A spokeswoman said: “The value of the stolen wheels are estimated to be at a low four-figure sum and officers would like to speak to members of the public who may have information or have seen any suspicious vehicles in the area at the time of the incident.”
The thieves struck around 8.45pm on Saturday.
Police have urged anyone with information to contact them on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
