A woman was injured after a car accident on an Aberdeenshire road last night.
Police, firefighters and an ambulance attended the incident on the A957 Stonehaven Slug Road at about 4.40pm. A Mercedes van and grey Hyundai IX35 collided.
Fire crews used cutting gear to free the woman from the car, who was then treated by paramedics at the scene for minor injuries.
The road was closed for a short time but was later re-opened.
A police spokeswoman said: “We received a report of a two-vehicle road traffic collision at around 4.40 pm.
“One female was injured and the ambulance did attend.
“The road was closed but was re-opened just before 5pm.”
A fire service spokesman added: “We sent two appliances from Stonehaven to the incident.
“Cutting gear was used to get one person out of their vehicle.”
An ambulance service spokeswoman said: “We were called but weren’t required to take anyone to hospital.”
