Man taken to hospital following Aberdeen assault

A man has reportedly been taken to hospital after he was assaulted in Aberdeen earlier this afternoon.

Police were called to Stafford Street shortly after 3.40pm, and have since closed the road.

It is understood the victim was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, but it is unknown how serious his injuries are.

Officers are keen to trace a light-coloured sports car which was seen in the area at the time of the incident.
