Two men have appeared in court in connection with an alleged assault on Stafford Street in Aberdeen.
Ryan White, 24, and Cameron Yearwood, 19, both of Aberdeen, appeared in private at the city’s sheriff court yesterday.
White is facing charges of assault, assault to injury and assault to injury and permanent disfigurement, as well as being in possession of an offensive weapon.
Yearwood is accused of assault to injury and permanent disfigurement and being in possession of an offensive weapon.
The pair made no plea when they appeared in front of Sheriff William Taylor.
Both men were remanded in custody and are expected to appear in court again within the next week.
A third man was also arrested in relation to the incident which is alleged to have taken place on Monday.
However, a spokesman for the Crown Office last night said the 45-year-old had been released without charge and did not appear in court.
