Flights at Aberdeen Airport have been cancelled this morning following a power outage at a major Dutch airport.
Two flights, one coming from and one departing to Schipol, Europe’s fourth largest airport, have been cancelled.
A spokeswoman for Aberdeen Airport earlier confirmed that “One inbound flight and one outbound flight have been cancelled today.”
UPDATE: Power has since been restored at Schipol airport following the major regional power outage.
The Aberdeen Airport spokeswoman added: “The two cancelled flights will remain cancelled, however the passengers will either be sent to another major airport if they were going to Schipol for a connecting flight, or if they were going to Holland they will be placed onto a later flight to Amsterdam today or tomorrow.”
