A lorry carrying shredded paper has caught fire in an Aberdeenshire village.
The vehicle burst into flames on the A944 Aberdeen to Alford road, in Dunecht, at around 8.20am.
Two fire appliances from Kintore and Anderson Drive were called to the incident.
A fire and rescue spokeswoman said: “There was a lorry fire out by Dunecht with a large quantity of shredded paper in the lorry. Two appliances extinguished it with a hose reel jet.”
The fire was under control by 8.50am.
The road was not said to be blocked by the incident.
A police spokesman said: “We were informed by the fire and rescue service, there was no requirement for police.”
