A car crashed off a north-east road and into a ditch during rush hour this morning.
The incident happened on the A981 Memsie to Strichen road near the turn off for North Tarwathie Farm.
A fire crew used cutting gear to recover one casualty from the vehicle, understood to be a female driver.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “This happened at 9.22am this morning on the A981 Strichen to Memsie road. This was by the turning for Tarwathie Farm.
“One vehicle was involved – a Vauxhall Corsa was was blue in colour. Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Ambulance Service were also in attendance.”
A fire service spokeswoman added: “We got the call around 9.24am from the Ambulance Service reporting a car went off the road.
“The fire crew used cutting gear to recover one casualty.”
