A north-east community group has received a £1,000 boost from the ScotRail Foundation.
The More Blooms in Cults Bieldside Milltimber scheme, which is run by area’s community council, will use the grant to brighten up the old rail station at Cults.
Community council treasurer Graham Payne said the aim was to restore the station to the way it appeared when it was still in use.
He added: “We hope it will kick off involvement from members of the community so we can continue to develop the local area.”
Pat Callaghan, director of ScotRail, said: “We believe we are much more than a railway operator, and have a significant part to play in improving our communities.”
