A forecast predicted that in around thirty minutes the Aurora will be very active above the skies in the Scotland.
Auroras, known as sub storms, are difficult to predict and often luck is required to spot them.
The geomagnetic activity level (Kp number) will be 4.67, which is deemed very active.
They appear as streamers of reddish or greenish light in the sky and are caused by interaction of charged particles from the sun with atoms in the upper atmosphere.
The visibility is set to rise to active levels in the next ten minutes, so be on the lookout.
