Flower picker Deniss Muravjovs wanders lonely through a host of golden daffodils during the annual harvest of the popular spring flowers.
The Latvian worker is one of hundreds of daffodil pickers currently toiling in heavy rain and cold temperatures at farms across Scotland .
The blooms he gathers from the fields at Catterline in Aberdeenshire belong to Grampian Growers and are sold across the continent, UK and Canada.
The Scottish season begins in early March and lasts for a period of about six weeks with 300 to 400 flower pickers involved on various farms on a daily basis.
The daffodils are cropped, bunched primarily in bunches of 10 stems and trayed up in the field before going on to bring cheer to homes around the world.
