The 59-year-old was reported missing from the Tillydrone area of Aberdeen and was last seen on Thursday evening. Police Scotland confirmed that a formal identification is yet to take place, however the family of Mr Monteith have been informed. The death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
