Fire crews called to Aberdeen flats

Emergency services were called to a block of Aberdeen flats this afternoon.

Police and fire crews were alerted to reports of smoke on the 12th floor of a building in Stockethill Court at 3.20pm.

Residents who had been out at the time if the incident were not able to enter their home as the lifts had been shut down as a safety measure.

A police officer on the scene said the fire was not thought to be serious.
