Former First Minister Alex Salmond yesterday went for a trim at an Aberdeen hairdressers to celebrate the success of a business rate scheme launched by the Scottish Government.
Siobhan Kintrea, owner of Distinction Hair Design on Union Terrace, gave the Aberdeenshire East MSP a cut at her Union Terrace hair salon to mark almost £70 million being shaved off rates for small businesses across Scotland.
Ms Kintrea is one of thousands to have benefited since the introduction of the Small Business Bonus Scheme.
The stylist, whose work has previously featured on the front cover of Hairdressers Journal International, earlier worked in the Highlands before opening up her salon in Aberdeen.
