An elderly man has been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary following a crash on a north-east road this afternoon.
Police, firefighters and ambulance crews were called at around 1.15 pm after a silver Ford B-Max crashed off the A950 road between the Cruden Bay turnoff and Toterston junction.
Firefighters had to use specialist cutting equipment to free the driver of the vehicle. One causality has been reported.
The road between Cruden Bay turnoff and Toterston junction is currently closed with local diversions in place.
A police spokesman said: “There has been a one-vehicle collision. There is an air ambulance at the scene.”
A fire service spokesman said: “We sent two appliances, one from Peterhead and one from Maud.
