Hundreds of homes left without power following a serious of faults on the grid.
Thousands of people across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire have been hit by a power cut this afternoon.
Homes and businesses in the Peterculter, Milltimber and Drumoak are affected.
It is understood engineers have just arrived and are now tackling the problem.
A spokesman for Scottish and Southern Energy said: “Just over 3,600 people are affected. The power went out just after 2pm and engineers are now on site.
“We’re hoping to get everyone back on by 5pm. The area affected is Aberdeen, Peterculter and Milltimber.”
He added that engineers are working to establish the cause of the outage.
