A Dons player has been searching for his missing dog which ran away following a crash on Friday.
Hayden Coulson’s German Shepherd, Zola, was in one of the cars which was involved in the 17-vehicle collision between Newtonhill and Muchalls.
The terrified dog has not returned home since and is believed to be still on the loose in the Muchalls area.
The Red Tinted Glasses podcast, which covers AFC’s games, shared a post on behalf of the player’s dad to make people aware of the missing dog.
His family have taken to social media to ask the public to not approach or call out to Zola if they see her as she may be spooked.
Drivers have also been told to stay alert when travelling on nearby roads.
The online posts have been shared by hundreds of people who have expressed concerns about the young dog in the comments.
Do not approach dog
Mr Coulson, who is on loan to Aberdeen this season, is believed to be taking part in searches for the much-loved dog.
An update shared online today said the owners are working with a professional dog trapping team and search and rescue team to capture Zola safely.
Anyone who spots her is asked not to approach her, chase her or call out her name.
Posted on behalf of Hayden Coulsons dad. Hayden’s dog Zara is still missing from the crash at Muchalls yesterday. He has asked anyone in & around the area to keep an eye out for Zara who may be running around or hiding somewhere in the area. She is fully micro chipped pic.twitter.com/pXlrMnGCvC

There are fears that the dog could be spooked and sent towards danger as a result.
Instead, people are asked to take a note of the exact location of the sighting, as well as the time and direction she was heading.
This information can be passed privately to the Fubar News Lost and Founds Pets admins who are assisting the family with their search.
Major response to crash
Police, fire and seven ambulance crews – two special operations response teams and a trauma team – attended the scene of the crash on Friday afternoon.
One car ended up on its side against a tree after crashing through a wall, while other cars were strewn across the road.
Four people – a 21-year-old woman and three men aged 23, 40 and 58 – were taken to hospital.
The road was closed for about six hours for the clear-up, which caused significant disruption on the AWPR due to traffic being diverted.
Aberdeen FC has been contacted to comment.
