A 17-year-old boy is facing an attempted murder charge after a man was stabbed multiple times in Aberdeen.
Police raced to the scene of the incident in Cummings Park Crescent on Saturday evening after receiving reports of a “disturbance”.
When they arrived, they found a 30-year-old male with serious injuries, understood to be multiple stab wounds.
The injured man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where his condition is unknown.
Now, a 17-year-old male, who cannot be named for legal reasons due to his age, has appeared in private at Aberdeen Sheriff Court in connection with the incident.
The boy, of Aberdeen, faced charges of assault to severe injury and attempted murder, and possession of a knife.

No plea was entered during the hearing.
He was released on bail while the case against him was committed for further examination.
A date has yet to be set for his next appearance over the matter.
Meanwhile, a second male, 46-year-old John Watt, of Aberdeen, appeared facing a charge of assault only.
He also made no plea and was released on bail while the case against him was committed for further examination.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Around 9.15pm on Saturday, March 25 2023, police received a report of a disturbance in Cummings Park Crescent, Aberdeen.
“Officers attended and a 30-year-old man, who had been injured in the disturbance, was taken to hospital.
“Two males, aged 17 and 46, have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.”
