Keen photographers are invited to a day of wildlife and landscape photography in the heart of Aberdeenshire.
The workshop at the Bennachie Centre, near the Chapel of Garioch, on Saturday, May 9 has been organised by Forestry Commission Scotland and Donside Camera Club.
Tips will be shared on how to use digital camera functions to capture the best of the outdoors, with a tutorial on macro – or very close up – photography.
Forestry commission ranger, Emily Holmes, said: “Cameras can be a bit daunting and a lot of people never get past having their camera on automatic but learning about what the camera’s settings can achieve will open a lot of people’s eyes to the possibilities.
“We’ve run days like this before and they’ve always been a great success regardless of the weather because everyone involved is so keen to learn.
“And it’s also great for helping people to look at our local wildlife and woodlands in a new way.
“There’ll be plenty of experienced snappers on hand to offer advice and tips and the rangers will be lending a hand, taking people to the best views and best wildlife viewing spots.
“Hopefully by the end of it we’ll all be making much better photographs.”
The workshop costs £15 and runs from 10am until 4pm.
Those attending should bring some lunch, their own camera and suitable footwear for the outdoors.
