Campaigners battling to save a historic swimming pool in Aberdeen need to raise thousands of pounds in the next 30 days.
The Bon Accord Heritage group is appealing to supporters to help it gather £5,000 so it can carry out an assessment of the former Bon Accord Baths building on Justice Mill Lane.
Members want to buy the Art Deco landmark, which has been put up for sale by Aberdeen City Council, and restore it to its former glory.
John Law, head of facilities and fundraising for the team, said it faced a race against time to secure the premises.
“We believe four or five groups have viewed the baths since it went on the open market,” he said.
“We are hoping to view the property at some point next week.
“It is also hoped we can arrange a meeting with the council’s property and estates team.
“This will be the first of several appeals and we may launch one big appeal for everyone to get involved.”
Alan Donnelly, councillor for the Torry and Ferryhill ward, is a supporter of the campaign.
He said: “I can’t see any other use than having a swimming pool within these premises.
“That’s why I’m encouraging the campaign group to keep pushing and to reach this target.”
