Police were first alerted to the one-car crash – on the A980 Alford to Banchory road, next to the Raemoir House Hotel, Banchory – just before 11pm. Two fire appliances from the town and an ambulance were also called to the scene. The driver of the car, believed to be a woman, had to be helped from her car but did not suffer any serious injuries.
