Social media erupted this afternoon as the sunny spring weather gave way to a snowy winter wonderland across the north and north east.
Just a number of days ago the barbecues were out and we were all trying to soak up what looked like the start of the summer sun, however, today has been a different story with a number of inches of snow battering large parts of the country.
With the snow forcing us all to stay inside, Twitter has been a lively place, reacting to the return of the white stuff.
Swimmer Hannah Miley was one of a number of people to tweet her shock, while there was also a friendly reminder from Glasgow that not all of Scotland was suffering…
