A jilted woman who became obsessed with her victim after only one date threatened to burn down his mum’s home and forwarded a picture of herself carrying out a sex act on another man.
Toni Nicol appeared in the dock at Aberdeen Sheriff Court and admitted stalking the man by calling him more than 50 times in one morning and telling him: “It’s about to get worse if you don’t call me”.
As the calls and messages continued, the 31-year-old then threatened to smash up the man’s car and “burn his mum’s house down” and even sent a picture of herself performing oral sex.
‘You’re like all the rest’
Fiscal depute Tom Procter that the pair had one meeting but added that it was “just a potential relationship” that never materialised.
Following this, the man messaged Nicol in early November last year telling her he did not want to pursue a romantic relationship.
While at work on November 15, the man saw he had 51 missed calls and further messages on WhatsApp calling him a “scumbag” and one stating: “I do not take well to being made a fool of.”
“She then sent a picture message of her performing a sex act on another male,” Mr Procter said.
“He messaged the accused saying they should go their separate ways, but the messages continued with the accused stating: ‘I do not give a f***. It’s about to get worse if you don’t call me.”
As the man advised Nicol that he would not be calling her back, he then received a further 17 missed calls and blocked her from WhatsApp.
Nicol then sent her victim an SMS text message stating: “You still do not give a f***, you’re like all the rest.”
Accused made threats to harm man
The man then received multiple further calls and messages from Nicol where she threatened to “smash up his car” and “burn his mum’s house down”.
She also made further threats to get other individuals to assault him who “wouldn’t stop until he stopped breathing”.
Upon receiving these messages, the man blocked her entirely from his phone and contacted the police.
Nicol admitted one charge of carrying out a course of conduct that caused fear and alarm and of making threats to harm the complainer’s family.
Defence solicitor Graham Morrison called for background reports to be carried out on his client.
Sheriff Margaret Hodge deferred sentence on Nicol, of Sandilands Drive, Aberdeen, until next month in order for a criminal justice social work report to be carried out.
