Police are investigating a serious assault at a north-east nightspot after a man was left with facial injuries.
Officers have appealed for witnesses after the 20-year-old was attacked inside Mambo’s nightclub on Peterhead’s Queen Street.
The incident happened at around 2.30am on Sunday and the victim was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
Last night Constable Ras Zubaj said: “Inquiries are at an early stage and officers are appealing for information which may help to establish what has happened.
“The area would have been busy at the time and we are urging anyone who may have witnessed this to contact police.”
