The body of a man was discovered outside a north-east leisure centre early this morning.
Police officers have cordoned off an area near Fraserburgh Leisure Centre and the man’s death is being treated as ‘unexplained’.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland confirmed the force are investigating the discovery. She said: “Police were called following the discovery of the body of a male outside Fraserburgh Leisure Centre in the Northlinks area. We were called at around 8.45am.
“The death is currently being treated as unexplained and inquiries are underway.
“As is the case with all sudden deaths, a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal in due course.”
Fraserburgh Leisure Centre is in the east of the fishing town near the harbour area.
The centre has a licensed restaurant as well as snooker room, 10-pin bowling and a conference room.
