Police investigating armed robbery at Aberdeen shop

Police are investigating an armed robbery at The Convenience Store on Gallowgate yesterday.

The incident occurred just after 2pm when a man presented a weapon at a staff member before taking off with £500.

The employee was left shaken but uninjured.

Officers are keen to talk to a man who is described as 6ft a slim build and blue eyes.

He was wearing a dark jacket, blue jeans, white trainers and a brown or khaki coloured hat with fur lined ear covers at the time of the incident.

A man who assisted the shop worker at the scene is also asked to come forward.
