The Royal Carriage at the former Ballater railway station was saved from the flames in last night’s fire.
Around 50 firefighters tackled the blaze which took hold of the historical building just before 2.00am.
A spokeswoman for fire and rescue said 75% of the building, had been badly affected by the blaze but crews had worked hard to save historical artefacts, such as the Royal Carriage.
A number of businesses which are based in the building, including Lucy’s Clothing, Amy Muir Photography, the Station Restaurant and the Ballater Information Centre, were also hit.
